HOW TO MOTIVATE YOUR STAFFS

#partnershipwednesday

HOW TO MOTIVATE YOUR STAFFS

I have been to some work environment where staffs are up and doing, ready to contribute their time and their efforts.

They are not entitled but engaging, once you walk into the organization, you just see and notice life everywhere.

While some schools are just like parked trailers that cannot self start, expecting to be pushed to start, They are just plain unmotivating, no life, no sense of a future, no sense of purpose, people are lethargic, no sense of work, purpose or direction, no sense of contribution.

The difference maker in both environments isn’t the staffs in it…. The difference maker is the LEADERSHIP IN IT.

As cruel and cold as that may sound it’s the truth.

THE KIND OF ENVIRONMENT YOUR SCHOOL IS REFLECTS THE KIND OF LEADERSHIP AT PLAY IN THE SCHOOL

To get the best out of your staffs you must.
1. LEAD BY EXAMPLE IN ALL YOU DO
2. Know that Affirmation comes before Confrontation
3. Praise publicly and correct privately
4. Use affirming words with your staffs e.g thank you, great, that is excellent
5. Challenge them to be better and consistently measure their performance
6. Appreciate them with gifts at specific periods of time and fulfill your promissory obligations.

Let me tell you a little story on gift appreciation.

While I was working at the bank, they leadership of the bank led by a couple of whites came up with the idea of rewarding all staffs of the bank with a specific gift per month.

That gift was a REFILL PACK of peak milk. They did it consistently for years and we all look forward to this refill pack every month.

As small as that gift was to us then, I can tell you we all looked forward to it.

A month came when the bank thought the refill pack was becoming expensive to maintain, so they cancelled it out and left our dear PEAK MILK out of our end of the month bonus.

Guess what the sales of the bank Nosedived that month, they immediately restored back the Peak milk and everything returned back to normalcy.

A little appreciation this December / ONCE A MONTH will go a long way with your staffs.

How do you want to appreciate your staffs this December?
Let me know your thoughts

EDUCATE AND DON’T JUST ENTERTAIN YOUR PARENTS

EDUCATE AND DON’T JUST ENTERTAIN YOUR PARENTS

Good morning dear Educators….

Let me tell you a secret source of giving your parents a wow effect. Making them want to break their bank for your sake.

Every parent registered the children in your school for the sake of one thing “qualitative education”, so in our events make sure it is saturated with academic contents that projects the quality of your education.

Every event can be turned into an Academic center if you can think creatively.

For example, one of our community members reached out to me via personal chat and asked how she could use her Christmas music concert to make it announce her students and in turn convince parents intending to bring their children to her school

So I suggested to her that what if the teachers could prepare the students to make presentations on
1. The history of Christmas
2. Why The Santa Claus comes at Christmas
3. What the santa Claus Signifies
4. 10 facts about Christmas that you don’t know
5. Music and its origin
6. Different genre of music
7. Examples of Young music starts of all time e.g Mozart playing the instruments at age 6 and held his first music concert at age 14
8. African musical instruments examples and its importance and many more
The purpose of this is to bring out, the educative quality with all your activities that make every parent attending learn one or two things they don’t know from the MOUTHS OF YOUR STUDENTS.

This has an effect of consistently standing your school out as an ACADEMIC POWERHOUSE

My dear Educators go beyond the Jamboree with your Events and educate your parents.

Let me know what you think about this.

P:S I am really glad you are learning from this platform.. We will be holding a workshop this month focused on increasing enrolment for 2nd term I will be uploading details about it in the community later today.

P:P:S Some of you like to call me coach which is nice.. But I love to be addressed as TEACHER I.T or MR ITUNU. I particularly love the TEACHER I.T because of the prefix TEACHER it’s just beautiful to be a teacher AND BE CALLED ONE….

The Aftermath of a side chick 🐥

My wife took my phone and deleted Jane's number and saved her number as Jane.

You see, someone had tipped my wife off about my side chick, Jane. I then got an SMS from Jane asking for #5,000 airtime. I rushed to the mall, bought the airtime, and sent it to Jane. She did not acknowledge receipt of the airtime.

When I was relaxing at home after work, I kept wondering if Jane had received the airtime. I sent her an SMS to find out if she had received the airtime. Her response was, "Call me now".

I got out of the house to make the call. You can imagine my horror when my wife answered! Eish….I'm still standing outside…..🙉🙊🙈. Should I go inside?
